So， people actually set traps for Santa each year？ This is a new one for me。 I know that some children try to spy on him but to trap him， wow！ Well， since they haven't been able to trap Santa， they're going after an elf and he's quick， smart and he hasn't been caught yet。 I said YET。I think this book was rather mean as Santa and the elf go house-to-house delivering presents and the Elf dodges， or tries to dodge the traps that were set for their arrival。 Each house has a different trap ranging fr So， people actually set traps for Santa each year？ This is a new one for me。 I know that some children try to spy on him but to trap him， wow！ Well， since they haven't been able to trap Santa， they're going after an elf and he's quick， smart and he hasn't been caught yet。 I said YET。I think this book was rather mean as Santa and the elf go house-to-house delivering presents and the Elf dodges， or tries to dodge the traps that were set for their arrival。 Each house has a different trap ranging from a mean cat， to some dynamite， to a being bombarded with food。 This sounds like more work than it should be to deliver free toys to the children。 I liked how the text rhymed but I had to watch my pace as I read the words or it just didn't work out the way it was supposed to。 I enjoyed the illustrations （they were the best part of the book for me） and I liked that they were printed on glossy paper。 The illustrations were bright， colorful and I could feel the energy of the actions taking place。 。。。more

Great book for a 4 year old。 My Granddaughter loved this book & the series。 Her favorite book is the Mermaid book & the Unicorn book。 We will definitely buy more of these books。

Adorable！ I loved the spin on the classic Christmas mischief of setting a trap to try to catch Santa in the act of leaving gifts。 Instead of setting their sights on Santa， this year， the kids have elected to try to snatch the Elf！ I loved the rhyming verses， and the illustrations were beautiful。 Definitely a story I would read again - I must find a copy of this somewhere。
